Cities of Asia – diversified, changeable and unique. Modern Beijing – monumental, serious, imperial, and at the same time joyless, grim and bleak. Yet, the staggering pace at which this city undergoes modification is truly striking. With every step one can see modern designs from the recent years executed by the world’s best architects, who created their visions with unrestricted freedom and impetus. To such designers this country offers unlimited opportunities for creation.
And as a contrast – exceptionally disorganized Manila, bursting with young and joyful people who start every day in their capital with hustle and bustle – absolute chaos. Urban planning that does not follow any structure, a city that growth in a completely free way, without any plan or control, just like a living and throbbing organism.
