From 5th to 8th of September we were visiting the international exposition, Expo 2008 in Zaragoza, the main topic of which that year was Water and Sustainable Development.
EXPO world expositions are the world’s most important, largest and most prestigious promotional events and have been organized since mid-19th century. The first exposition was held in London in 1851 and so far there have been 69 EXPOs at which countries from all over the world presented their achievements and potential.
Poland has been participating in EXPOs since the very beginning (under other states’ banners until it regained its independence) and won numerous awards, achieving spectacular success many times.
